Bourbon Chicken Recipe

Tender chicken coated in a sweet and savory bourbon sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken thighs or breast
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Cut and season chicken.
  2. Cook chicken until browned.
  3. Prepare sauce in same pan.
  4. Simmer and thicken sauce.
  5. Add chicken and coat.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not overcook chicken
  • Use fresh garlic and ginger
  • Adjust sweetness
  • Thicken the sauce as needed
