Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast or chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Method
 

  1. Mix yogurt, garlic, ginger, garam masala, paprika, turmeric, and lemon juice, then marinate chicken for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook marinated chicken in a skillet with oil until lightly charred.
  3. Sauté onion in butter, then add garlic, ginger, and spices.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and simmer until slightly thick.
  5. Add cream and chicken, simmer until the sauce becomes rich and creamy.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken longer for a deeper flavor.
  • Use chicken thighs for extra tenderness.
  • Adjust spice level with chili powder if desired.
  • Serve with rice or warm naan bread for the best experience.
