Cuban Sandwich Recipe

A pressed sandwich filled with roasted pork, ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf Cuban or French bread
  • 1 cup cooked roasted pork sliced
  • 4 slices ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • ½ cup dill pickles sliced
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Method
 

  1. Slice bread and spread mustard.
  2. Layer pork, ham, cheese, and pickles.
  3. Close sandwich and butter outside.
  4. Cook in skillet or press for 4–5 minutes per side.
  5. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Press firmly for a crispy texture
  • Use quality bread for the best results
  • Don’t overload fillings
  • Best served fresh
