Fried Pickles Recipe

Crispy battered pickles fried until golden and served with dipping sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups pickle slices
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornmeal optional
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Drain and dry pickles.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Whisk eggs and milk in another bowl.
  4. Dip pickles in egg mixture, then coat in flour mixture.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F.
  6. Fry pickles for 2–3 minutes until golden.
  7. Drain and serve hot.

Notes

  • Dry-pickles well before coating
  • Fry in batches
  • Keep oil temperature steady
  • Serve immediately for the best texture
