Ingredients
Method
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
- Add eggs and milk and mix into thick batter.
- Let batter rest for 10–15 minutes.
- Bring salted water to a boil.
- Drop batter into water using a strainer or spoon.
- Cook until spaetzle float (about 2–3 minutes).
- Remove and toss with butter.
- Garnish and serve.
Notes
- Batter should be thick but pourable
- Do not overcook
- Best served fresh with butter
- Can be pan-fried for a crispy texture
