Ground Beef and Rice Recipe

A simple and hearty one-pan dish made with ground beef, rice, and flavorful seasonings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups broth or water
  • ½ cup tomato sauce optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional Add-Ins & Toppings:
  • Peas carrots, or bell peppers
  • Shredded cheese
  • Fresh herbs parsley or cilantro
  • Paprika cumin, or chili powder
  • Hot sauce or soy sauce

Method
 

  1. Cook ground beef until browned.
  2. Add onion and garlic and sauté.
  3. Stir in rice and liquid.
  4. Simmer until rice is cooked.
  5. Fluff and serve.

Notes

  • Use enough liquid for proper rice cooking
  • Keep covered while simmering
  • Add veggies for extra nutrition
  • Great for meal prep
