Honey Garlic Sauce Recipe

A sweet and savory sauce made with honey, garlic, and soy sauce, perfect for glazing, dipping, or stir-frying.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water for slurry
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar optional
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add honey, soy sauce, and water and stir well.
  3. Mix in vinegar and black pepper.
  4. Combine cornstarch with water and add to sauce.
  5. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust the thickness with more or less cornstarch
  • Add chili flakes for spice
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor
  • Stores well in the refrigerator up to 5 days
