Kombucha Recipe

A fermented tea drink that’s tangy, fizzy, and rich in probiotics.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 –3 tea bags black or green
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup starter tea
  • 1 SCOBY

Method
 

  1. Brew tea and dissolve sugar.
  2. Cool completely.
  3. Add to jar with starter tea.
  4. Add SCOBY.
  5. Cover and ferment.
  6. Bottle and chill.

Notes

  • Use glass containers only
  • Keep the fermentation area warm
  • Adjust fermentation time to taste
  • Reserve the starter for the next batch
