New York Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Crust:
  • cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • Cheesecake Filling:
  • 24 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and prepare the graham cracker crust.
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and mix gently.
  4. Stir in sour cream, heavy cream, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  5. Pour batter over crust and bake for 55–65 minutes.

Notes

  • Use room temperature ingredients for a smooth batter.
  • Avoid overmixing to prevent cracks.
  • Chill cheesecake for at least 4 hours before serving.
  • Top with berries or whipped cream if desired.
