Method
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Spread Thousand Island dressing on the inside of the bread.
- Layer Swiss cheese, corned beef, and sauerkraut on one slice.
- Top with the second slice of bread with buttered side facing outward.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Grill the sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Drain sauerkraut well to avoid soggy bread.
- Use medium heat to melt cheese evenly.
- Serve immediately for the best texture.
