Salmon Cakes Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked or canned salmon
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method
 

  1. Place salmon in a bowl and flake it.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic, green onions, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until combined.
  4. Form into patties.
  5. Heat oil and cook patties 3–4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Chill the mixture if it's too soft
  • Use canned or fresh salmon
  • Cook on medium heat for the best texture
  • Freeze for later use
