Shrimp Ceviche Recipe

A refreshing dish made with shrimp marinated in citrus juice and mixed with fresh vegetables and herbs.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomatoes diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeño finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 avocado diced

Method
 

  1. Chop shrimp into small pieces.
  2. Add shrimp to a bowl and cover with lime and lemon juice.
  3. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until shrimp turns pink.
  4. Add onion, tomatoes, jalapeño, and cilantro.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Gently mix in avocado.
  7. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best results
  • Do not over-marinate shrimp
  • Serve immediately for the best texture
  • Not suitable for freezing
