Sourdough Pizza Dough Recipe

A naturally fermented pizza dough with a chewy texture and rich, tangy flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup active sourdough starter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method
 

  1. Mix starter, water, and olive oil.
  2. Add flour and salt and mix into dough.
  3. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let rise for 4–6 hours.
  5. Refrigerate overnight.
  6. Bring to room temperature and shape.
  7. Add toppings and bake at 475°F–500°F for 10–12 minutes.

Notes

  • Use an active sourdough starter
  • Longer fermentation improves flavor
  • Preheat the oven for the best crust
  • Dough can be frozen
