Strawberry Pretzel Salad Recipe

A classic layered dessert with a pretzel crust, creamy filling, and strawberry gelatin topping.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • ¾ cup butter melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped topping
  • 1 package strawberry gelatin 3 oz
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix pretzels, butter, and sugar and press into a baking dish.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes and cool completely.
  4. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Fold in whipped topping and spread over crust.
  6. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water and cool slightly.
  7. Add strawberries to gelatin.
  8. Pour over cream layer and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Notes

  • Cool layers before assembling
  • Seal the cream layer to protect the crust
  • Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor
  • Chill fully before slicing
