Tabouli Salad Recipe

A refreshing salad made with parsley, bulgur, tomatoes, and a lemon dressing.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh parsley finely chopped
  • ½ cup bulgur wheat
  • 2 tomatoes diced
  • ½ cup cucumber diced optional
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint chopped
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Soak bulgur in warm water for 10–15 minutes, then drain.
  2. Finely chop parsley, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and mint.
  3. Whisk lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine bulgur and chopped ingredients.
  5. Pour dressing over salad and mix well.
  6. Chill for 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Chop ingredients very finely
  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor
  • Drain the bulgur well
  • Chill before serving for the best taste
