Taco Meat Recipe

A classic seasoned ground beef taco filling made with simple spices and rich flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup water or broth

Method
 

  1. Heat a skillet and cook ground beef until browned.
  2. Add onion and cook until soft.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in tomato sauce and water.
  6. Simmer for 5–10 minutes until thickened.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Drain excess fat for the best texture
  • Adjust spices to taste
  • Add more liquid for saucier meat
  • Stores well for meal prep
